NETDA company supplies steel wire to Dubai's Burj Khalifa
Huaxing New Materials Technology (Jiangsu) Co Ltd – located in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area, or NETDA – is a manufacturer going from strength to strength, in the process supplying world-class customers.
It was one of the earliest steel wire rope enterprises in the NETDA in the 1990s, like other steel wire rope enterprises, it made a significant contribution to the local economic development.
However, the inherent production technology and equipment needed for wire rope brings with it various environmental problems. In 2017, when the city's environmental remedial action began, Huaxing quickly made changes.
It updated its equipment to achieve cleaner production and adopted a new process technology to reduce pollution. After solving its environmental problems, in 2019 the enterprise invested a large sum of money in research and development. It invited an expert team to develop a competitive product, which is cable steel wire with a thick zinc layer.
"In the past, we mainly cooperated with agents and small enterprises but after the introduction of the thick zinc layer cable steel wire, our customers became leading enterprises in the industry," said general manager Chen Lin.
According to Chen, the company's products are now sold to Southeast Asia, South America and other regions.
The enterprise also made the steel wire in the high-rise elevators of Dubai's Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building.
