NETDA helps resident companies to stabilize production

Nantong Huaxing Steel Wire Products Co Ltd – located in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area, or NETDA, in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – saw its output value surge 30 percent year-on-year to 140 million yuan ($20.92 million) in the first four months, despite the COVID-19 outbreak.

According to company executives, the performance was boosted by the excellent services provided by the area's association of industry and commerce.

"During the epidemic, our biggest problem was obstructed logistics," said general manager Zhu Ying.

Zhu said the area's association of industry and commerce, after hearing of the company's troubles, promptly contacted it and coordinated with relevant NETDA departments to help resolve the problem of the raw materials supplies and the transportation logjam.

Nantong Sunshine Graphite Equipment Technology Co Ltd is another company to have benefitted from the association's services.

Chairman Feng Shengjun said that since April, the association helped it implement closed-loop management of its logistics distribution vehicles, ensuring the smooth operation of the company.

"From March to April, our output increased by 40 percent month-on-month," Feng added.
