On June 1, International Children's Day, the procuratorate of the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area – located in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – carried out a series of legal educational activities at the area's Nantong University Affiliated Experimental Primary School.

The day also marked the first anniversary of the implementation of the newly revised Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Minors and the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency.

The activities included painting, a simulated court, as well as a symposium on the theme of "protecting the physical and mental health of minors and safeguarding their legitimate rights and interests".
