During the COVID-19 outbreak, deliveries are said to have become an inseparable way for people to get their daily necessities in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area, or NETDA – located in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province.

In the face of the outbreak, the NETDA has increased its restrictions and measures to ensure the safety of deliveries. According to NETDA officials, all couriers must now take nucleic acid tests every day because of their high mobility.

As a result, the NETDA has turned an idle factory into a nucleic acid testing site especially for couriers, to provide more convenience for them.

The area also carries out training to boost the epidemic prevention capacity and awareness of couriers.

In addition, all online delivery sites in the area must have health monitoring records, health files, disinfection records, emergency plans and training records, to make sure every link of the delivery is safe.
