NETDA kicks off innovation, entrepreneurship competition
The Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area, or NETDA – located in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – recently started soliciting high-quality talent and scientific innovation projects, both domestically and internationally, to participate in its upcoming 2022 Nengda Cup Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
The NETDA has been holding the competition since 2018, in order to help attract such high-caliber people and projects to move there. To date, the competition has attracted the participation of more than 200 scientific and innovative projects, with 34 of them locating to the area.
This year's pre-competition Nengda Cup roadshows will be held in the cities of Wuhan, Chengdu, Xi'an, Beijing and Shanghai.
They are expected to mainly attract high-quality talent and scientific innovation projects in the fields of new generation electronic information, high-end equipment, medicine and health and in the new energy industries.
Projects recommended by a panel of experts at the roadshows – if they go on to settle in the development area – can get up to 20 million yuan ($3.14 million) in financial assistance.
