NETDA poised to make 5G breakthroughs in industrial internet

As one of the first 14 State-level economic and technological development zones in China, the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area, or NETDA – located in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – is said to have made remarkable achievements in building a 5G development ecosystem in recent years.

The area was recently included among development projects chosen by the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu, to be what have been designated as "5G+ industrial internet" integration applications pilot zones.

Both the industrial internet and 5G are perceived to be significant drivers advancing the digital transformation of the economy and of society.

Their integrated development is expected not only to accelerate the transformation of the manufacturing sector, but also open up a wider market for 5G technology.

The NETDA is well known to have always considered intelligent manufacturing to be the main driver for the high-quality development of its manufacturing industry. As a result, it has formed leading industrial clusters of the new generation of information technology, high-end equipment, medicine and health, as well as new energy, among others.
