Nantong development area acts to screen out pollution risks

A round of inspections to screen out risks of industrial pollution recently began in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area, or NETDA – in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – in an initiative carried out by the area's ecology and environment bureau.

During the series of inspections, experts from the bureau will answer a variety of queries from the enterprises in terms of appropriate environmental protection and they will assist businesses to find countermeasures to any problems identified.

The bureau plans to inspect at least 100 enterprises in the NETDA over the next few months.
