Nantong development area to get premium Hualuxe Hotel

Nantong-based property management company Jiangsu Weifu Group Co Ltd on March 8 held an online signing ceremony with UK multinational Intercontinental Hotels Group, or IHG, at the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area, or NETDA – located in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province.

The two parties agreed to establish IHG's five-star Hualuxe Hotel in the Weifu Building – the first skyscraper being built by the Jiangsu Weifu Group.

The Weifu Building is located in the central area of the NETDA's Nengda Business District and it will have high-end hotels and offices, as well as exhibitions, catering, entertainment and leisure facilities, among other things.

IHG is one of the world's largest hotel groups, with 6,031 hotels in more than 100 countries and regions. The Hualuxe Hotel brand is IHG's first high-end international hotel operation targeting Chinese consumers.

The new hotel in the Weifu Building, which is scheduled to start operating in 2023, is expected to provide a real boost to the tourism and business reception capacity of the NETDA.
