Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province on Feb 15, people from all walks of life have been actively volunteering in the nucleic acid testing works.
In the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Zone, or NETDA, two Japanese expats from the Aisin (Nantong) Technical Center of China Co Ltd joined the voluntary works on Feb 18.
"I'm honored to have the opportunity to join hands with the Chinese people to fight the pandemic. Not only the working environment in Nantong is very friendly, so are its people. I'm very willing to contribute to the city and its people," said Yoshitaka Koga, general manager of Aisin (Nantong) Technical Center of China.
Aisin (Nantong) Technical Center of China Co Ltd is the only Japanese-funded enterprise committed to the research, development, design, and testing of automobile parts and related technical services, technology transfer, and technical resources in the NETDA.
The enterprise has been participating in various local social welfare undertakings since its establishment in 2011.
