Successful projects spark optimism in NETDA

In the past 10 months, the Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area or NETDA registered four new major projects, including 2 billion yuan ($314 million) for one project and 10 billion yuan for one project, and six projects costing more than 1 billion yuan were launched, according to local media reports on Nov 24.

Lingfeng Group, located in the NETDA, has been the leading enterprise in stainless steel kitchen products for the past 15 years, with its exports ranking first in China. Its Nantong base, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan, will dispatch roughly 1,000 robots to work at 70 percent of its production workshops. The base will also build a national demonstration base for the intelligent manufacturing of kitchen utensils and advanced manufacturing name cards in the development zone.

"The sound business environment of the NETDA also encourages us to ramp up efforts to promote base construction, expand production capacity, and build our headquarters base into an industry benchmark in China," said a higher-up at Lingfeng Group.
