NETDA opens 1st return center for cross-border e-commerce
The return center used for returning retail imports from cross-border e-commerce platforms officially started operations in Nantong Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province on Nov 11, becoming the first of its kind in Jiangsu.
Canda supply chain located in NETDA completed the return declaration of seven cross-border e-commerce imported packages on Nov 11 at the return center.
Since Nantong Comprehensive Bonded Zone started its cross-border e-commerce import business, it has attracted top cross-border e-commerce platforms like Tmall Global and Pinduoduo.
This year, the import volume of cross-border e-commerce businesses in the zone has reached 100 million yuan ($15.62 million).
The return center was set up to solve the difficulty of returning imported goods from cross-border e-commerce platforms and improve efficiency.
The returned packages can easily enter the bonded zone through checkpoint registration. The follow-up procedures, such as sorting, return declaration, and re-shelving, will be performed in the warehouse of the return center, which effectively reduces the operating costs of cross-border e-commerce companies and shortens the overall return time.
Moving forward, Nantong Comprehensive Bonded Zone will explore more new business models to facilitate the development of the cross-border e-commerce sector.
