NETDA hosts long-term management for civilized city
Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province was given the title of National Civilized City in 2020 for its effective long-term city management and harmonious culture.
In recent years, with the improvement of people's living standards, locals in the Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area (NETDA) are reportedly no longer satisfied with basic necessities like food, clothing, housing, and transport, but have higher material and other needs.
In July, the NETDA kicked off a two-month campaign for the long-term management of civilized city construction, which fully deployed seven special promotion actions and 43 sub-item actions.
On the night of July 6, authorities in the development zone inspected 179 local catering units, and found problems and issues.
In addition, the NETDA in the first half of this year dealt with 38 cases related to garbage disposal. More than 100 illegal structures in local communities have been dismantled, covering an area of 1,000 square meters.
