Children's painting exhibition opens at NETDA

A children's art exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China recently opened at the Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area, or NETDA – located in the prefecture-level city of Nantong, in East China's Jiangsu province – according to local media reports on June 15.
The launch event attracted more than 400 participants from all walks of life including officials, artists and the heads of the art departments of local schools.
The ongoing exhibition is displaying more than 800 works by young people in the form of paintings, cartoons, traditional Chinese paintings, paper-cutting and other different types of creative pieces by kids – that are rich in colorful content and employ expressive techniques.
The exhibition runs to June 20. It is inviting children of all ages to come, where they will be able to engage in different themed art activities such as paper prints making, porcelain plate painting, painting on umbrellas, among other things.
