Yimei Automotive Optoelectronics Headquarters signed to settle in NHIZ
A signing ceremony for the Yimei Automotive Optoelectronics Headquarters and Intelligent Manufacturing Base Project was held in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (NHIZ) on Jan 28.
The project is funded and constructed by Yimei Automotive Optoelectronics Technology (Changchun), a national high-tech enterprise with a long-term focus on the design, development, and manufacturing of intelligent automotive lighting systems.
After settling in NHIZ, the project will serve as the company's headquarters and future listed entity, focusing on the research, development, and production of high-end intelligent automotive interior and exterior lighting and smart cabin optoelectronic systems.
"After relocating our headquarters from Changchun to Nantong, we plan to invest more than 500 million yuan ($71.92 million) here until the project reaches full capacity. By 2030, we expect to achieve an annual sales revenue of about 1 billion yuan," said Jin Chengbiao, chairman of Yimei Automotive Optoelectronics Technology (Changchun).
Jin Chengbiao said that the complete industrial chain and efficient government services in NHIZ were key attractions for them. "As the project advances, we will fully transfer our headquarters, research and development, and manufacturing operations to the NHIZ."
In recent years, NHIZ has developed an automotive parts industry cluster that integrates research and development, production, and collaboration. The zone is home to over 100 enterprises engaged in automotive parts-related operations, including automotive electronics, lightweight materials, and general parts, with the industry's scale exceeding 10 billion yuan.
