Final of CAIEC held in Nantong
The final of the 10th China Aerospace Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (CAIEC) was held at the Nantong International Conference Center on Nov 4, with 66 projects competing on-site.
This national-level competition highlighted cutting-edge achievements in the aerospace field while providing a key platform for Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (NHIZ), the host of this year's event, to integrate industrial resources and attract innovative talent.
Several companies, attracted by NHIZ's industrial ecosystem, have decided to establish a presence in the area after competition. Yuhang Drive Technology, for instance, cited the zone's policy advantages, geographical benefits, and the opportunities presented by the low-altitude economy transition, while Xi'an Hengxiang praised the development of the local integrated circuit cluster.
"Our products involve packaging, testing, and solid-state encapsulation technologies. NHIZ is an integrated circuit cluster, which provides strong supply chain support for us," said Gao Qimeng, technical director of Xi'an Hengxiang.
At the opening ceremony, NHIZ also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics to jointly promote the growth of the aerospace industry.
Currently, NHIZ is planning a new industrial park covering approximately 3,000 mu (200 hectares), which plans to build a complete aerospace industry ecosystem spanning material R&D, component manufacturing, system integration and application services, with the aim of becoming a new hub for the aerospace industry in the Yangtze River Delta region.
