Consumption booms in Tongzhou during holiday
Over the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday from Oct 1 to 8, Tongzhou district, Nantong, experienced a consumption boom.

Over the course of eight days, three monitored major supermarkets in the district reported sales totaling 40.4 million yuan ($5.66 million), marking an 8.7-percent growth compared to the same period last year.
During the holiday break, Tongzhou was abuzz with a wide range of activities, including musicals, drone shows, and artistic performances, attracting large crowds of tourists and fueling spending on accommodation and dining.
Two selected dining and accommodation businesses in the district saw their dining revenue rise by 35.2 percent year-on-year to 3.23 million yuan, while accommodation revenue increased by 22.8 percent year-on-year.
