Nantong in Jiangsu province established the Nantong Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Alliance on June 28, representing a significant step forward in implementing the national "AI plus" strategy and fostering the development of an innovative industrial ecosystem in the city.
Mayor Zhang Tong emphasized Nantong's efforts in integrating AI with the real economy, particularly within the steel, shipbuilding, and textiles sectors. The city aims to form a distinctive AI industrial cluster with regional competitiveness and aspires to become a central hub for AI application and innovation in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Zheng Ming, deputy general manager of China Mobile Group Jiangsu Company, emphasized the company's dedication to supporting Nantong's digital transformation and integrating high-caliber resources from YRD and Pearl River Delta regions.
Zheng Hairong, vice-president of Nanjing University, also articulated the university's support for the alliance through the provision of innovative resources and the cultivation of talent.
