NHIZ firm develops high-performance AI server for rail transit
A state-of-the-art AI-powered high-speed storage server developed by Jiangsu Huacun Electronics Technology Co Ltd recently passed testing for use in China's national rail transit system.
This innovative product is set to meet the increasing demands for high-speed data storage and support the digital transformation of the country's rail infrastructure.
Unlike standard servers that typically support 12 to 24 solid-state drives (SSDs), this custom AI server can accommodate up to 35 SSDs—currently the highest capacity among domestic high-speed storage servers. According to Zhuang Jianmin, the company's deputy general manager, this breakthrough represents a significant leap in both storage capacity and efficiency.
The AI server boasts industry-leading transmission speed and storage capacity within China. Its primary function is to handle the high-speed storage and processing of video and data in the national rail transit system's data centers. This achievement has earned Huacun Electronics recognition as a qualified supplier for the national rail transit system.
"The server will enter mass production by the end of this year and is expected to see widespread application across the national rail transit system starting next year," Zhuang added.
Huacun Electronics based in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone is a high-tech company specializing in the development and mass production of storage control chips, storage solutions, and storage modules.
The company has achieved several milestones, including the creation of China's first 40-nanometer eMMC 5.1 embedded storage controller chip and third-generation PCIe high-end SSD modules.
