NHIZ-based semiconductor company doubles annual sales in 2024
Pi Semiconductor (Nantong) Co Ltd, located in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (NHIZ), has seen remarkable growth this year.
"As of now, our sales have exceeded 120 million yuan ($16.58 million), doubling last year's numbers," said Chen Dingkang, the company's deputy general manager.
Founded in April 2021, Pi Semiconductor specializes in semiconductor testing, offering integrated services in everything from research and development to design, manufacturing, and assembly. The company has been included in the "China Potential Unicorn" enterprise list for two consecutive years.
Pi Semiconductor is known for its customized ATE/MLO testing boards, designed independently for leading semiconductor companies. These high-end products are assembled in-house and have gained recognition from major domestic clients.
This year, the company made significant progress with its new glass substrate project, which began in January and has already achieved key technical breakthroughs.
The company attributes its rapid development not only to its own efforts but also to the supportive local business environment. According to General Manager He Jing'an, the company transitioned from an empty shell building to full renovation, production, and delivery in just five months. The industrial zone facilitated this process by helping the company find and lease a suitable factory with pre-approved wastewater discharge permits, ensuring a swift start to operations.
