Summit for microelectronics technology takes place in NHIZ
The Nantong Microelectronics Technology Innovation Achievement Summit was held in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone on July 14.
This summit is part of the 2023 China Nantong Jianghai Talent Entrepreneurship Week that commenced on July 12.
Hao Yue, a professor from Xidian University as well as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered a keynote speech on the development and future prospects of the integrated circuit industry during the summit, which also witnessed the signing of 17 project agreements. In addition, eight projects showcased their innovative achievements through roadshows during the summit.
In recent years, Nantong has been accelerating the development of the microelectronics technology.
The city has established a collaborative innovation consortium for the semiconductor industry and introduced a three-year action plan and special support policies for the high-quality development of the integrated circuit industry.
Tongzhou district, where the NHIZ is located, serves as the main hub for the development of microelectronics technology.
Leveraging the integrated circuit component industrial park, the district has gathered more than 50 companies in the industrial chain and achieved an industrial scale exceeding 30 billion yuan ($4.18 billion).
