The Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Jiangsu Province recently released the list of the newly established postdoctoral innovation bases.
Tri Star Technology (China) Co Ltd and Jiangsu Zunsion Automation Technology Co Ltd, both located in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Tongzhou district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, made it onto the list.
At present, Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone is home to 13 postdoctoral research stations of different levels. It has introduced and cultivated over 20 post-doctors and applied over 150 various technical patents.
Postdoctoral workstation has become a propeller for the innovation-driven development of enterprises in the zone.
Acting as a bridge between enterprises, universities and research institutions, postdoctoral workstation plays a significant role in boosting industry-university-research cooperation, and accelerating transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
Tri Star has turned from a simple safe box producer into a maker of self-service ticket machines, intelligent ATM machines, security robots and other smart terminal products through long-term university-enterprise cooperation, top-flight personnel introduction and cutting-edge companies merging and acquisition.
After getting approved to establish a postdoctoral workstation, Tri Star immediately sorted out its technical demand and sought suitable doctors to get stationed at its workstation from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University which has had cooperated with Tri Star for 10 years, to form a new industry-university-research mechanism featuring joint technology research, high-end talent introduction, and innovation platform co-construction.
The postdoctoral workstations also make contributions to helping enterprises break technical bottlenecks.
In order to encourage resident firms to establish more workstations and attract more doctors to get stationed there, Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone has issued a series of preferential policies, and provided considerate public services for the top-flight personnel.
