Jiangsu Bangtec Environmental Sci-Tech Co Ltd, a promising high-tech company in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone – in the Tongzhou district of Nantong city, in East China's Jiangsu province – has forecast total revenue of over 100 million yuan ($15.42 million) this year, reportedly thanks to big support from the local government.
Chairman Zhao Huiyu said he was confident about the company's development prospects. A major section of a 30,000-square-meter new factory passed acceptance on Aug 9 and production facilities are ready for installation.
"It is the perfect incubation platform and the superior support services here enabled us to develop rapidly in just four years," Zhao said.
The support included three-year, rent-free apartments for qualifying staff and a two-year, rent-free plant.
Zhao was himself selected for Tongzhou's 510 Talent Program, Nantong's Jianghai Talent Program and Jiangsu province's Entrepreneurship and Innovation Talent Program. These titles brought him total rewards and subsidies of more than 3 million yuan.
The high-tech zone has a strong policy guarantee for its preferential treatment of resident businesses, such as the Three-year Action Plan on Science and Technology Innovation of Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (2020-22). In addition, incentives overlap with those granted by the city and provincial governments.
According to statistics, the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone currently has 82 resident national high-tech enterprises, with the output value of high-tech industries accounting for 55.45 percent of its total industrial output.
