Jiangsu SYTECH strides back to work
Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone is finally coming back to life after companies were forced to delay resumption of work after the Spring Festival holidays due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, and one company has led the way back to work.
Jiangsu Shengyi Technology Co Ltd (SYTECH) overcame many difficulties to resume operations in the high-tech zone on Feb 10, thanks the courage and perseverance of every person at SYTECH.
The company, the leader of the 5G copper clad sector in China and a key high-tech enterprise in the development zone, had been scheduled to resume work on Feb 2, but the virus outbreak forced a delay.
SYTECH'S management team had no choice but to delay resumption until they received official approval, which finally came on the evening of Feb 9.
On the morning of Feb 10, all the company's security guards were on standby to take the temperature of every employee, distribute masks, and report to the leading group any abnormal situation. At the same time, all employees from badly epidemic-stricken areas and other regions were urged to return. Arrangements were made for employees who were on holidays in other provinces to return to Nantong and spend 14 days in quarantine.
By Feb 14, 67 SYTECH employees were back at work. As government requirements and procedures changed, another 33 people were gradually submitting health reports, and all SYTECH staff members are expected to be back at work soon, allowing the company to resume full operations.
