Nantong ensures timely supplies for virus front line
Editor's notes:
Since the sudden outbreak of the novel coronavirus in the spring of 2020, the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone has been dedicated to combating the virus, with companies in the zone working together to overcome the many difficulties.
A machinery company phoned the zone's management committee to request help in resuming production as it was suffering huge financial losses. The committee agreed to help with gathering and preparing materials so the company could resume production.
Two companies in the zone supply spare parts for ambulances which are important in the front line of the fight against the epidemic. To ensure the supply of ambulance parts, the two companies applied to the zone to resume construction of one production line each on Feb 3.
Upon receipt of the application, the person in charge of the committee immediately contacted the zone's relevant departments to discuss policies, procedures and materials for the resumption of work.
The committee is playing a key role in implementing epidemic prevention and control by helping enterprises prepare to return to work with appropriate materials as soon as possible.
From the eighth to the 10th day of the Chinese New Year, the committee has been helping enterprises to prepare materials for the resumption of work, check epidemic prevention measures, and coordinate supplies for the front line of the development zone.
