Shopping spree preparations pay off for home textile enterprises

Each year, Nantong International Home Textile Industrial Park achieves its sales peak on the Singles Day and these merchants were thoroughly prepared.
In Linxi village, Sanxing town, Haimen district, a truck fully loaded with winter quilts left Haimen Luodi Textile Co Ltd Nov 6. "We are an agent for both Nanjiren and Beijirong and have been stocking up since the end of August," said Ye Xiaofeng, general manager of Luodi. "From mid-September to now, the factory has been stepping up production, with an average daily working time of 14 hours.
"We have stable cooperation with JD.com, and quilts, four-piece bed sets and pillows are our main products. To cope with the Singles Day peak, we kept shipping our products to JD's warehouse, and the value of the goods in the warehouse reached 20 million yuan ($3 million)."

After years of development, the Nantong home textile market has formed a certain scale, with Haimen Dearshiqiao market and Tongzhou Zhihao markets becoming the largest home textile production bases and trade market bases in China.
The two markets boast nearly 4,000 various home textile enterprises, over 20,000 of which are e-commerce sellers. In 2019, the business transaction volume of the two markets exceeded 200 billion yuan, of which e-commerce transactions accounted for 70 billion yuan.
The newly established Jiangsu Nantong International Home Textile Industrial Park will accelerate the creation of new urban functional areas and promote high-quality development of the home textile industry and its markets in Nantong.
