The foreign trade zone of Dearshiqiao home textile town in Haimen district, Nantong, was opened to the public on July 22.

Covering 21,000 square meters with a construction area of 30,000 sq m, the foreign trade zone has about 15,000 sq m available for operations and can accommodate 228 merchants. It is a professional market with relatively advanced domestic facilities and relatively complete functions.

Centering on becoming an international home textile production and trade center, Dearshiqiao home textile town has laid emphasis on three key functions – a high-end trade platform, international supporting facilities and multiple market business forms – and striven to develop an exhibition economy, a livestream economy and a shared economy.

The town is developing new ideas for integrating market procurement and cross-border e-commerce to stabilize foreign trade. It is also accelerating planning and construction of a series of new platforms and carriers, such as an international logistics park, a cross-border industrial center and a foreign trade home textile cultural and creative design center.
