Haimen district, located at the intersections of major national strategies of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the integrated development of Yangtze River Delta and the Shanghai-Jiangsu cross-river integration pilot area, is 60 kilometers from Shanghai. It takes 30 minutes to drive to Nantong's new airport which is an important part of Shanghai's international aviation hub, 10 minutes to drive to Haimen station on the Nanjing-Qidong high-speed railway. Several cross-river channels, such as Sutong (Suzhou-Nantong) and Chongqi (Chongming-Qidong), highway bridges and the northern high-speed rail line along the Yangtze River are still under planning. Dearshiqiao industrial zone also has an exit connecting to the G40 (Shanghai-Shaanxi) expressway.
