In response to the national strategies of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, Dearshiqiao Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Import and Export Commodities Fair is hosted by Haimen Dearshiqiao International Home Textiles Industrial Zone.

The Dearshiqiao commodities fair is an important forum for international traders to seek new trading partners, open up new trade routes, expand new trade spaces and promote international cooperation and communications. Relying on the trade mode of marketing purchases and overseas Chinese companies, the fair makes contributions to important projects such as the BRI.

Hosting the fair is a powerful measure to amplify the pilot effect of the marketing purchase trade mode in Dearshiqiao, and accelerate steps toward the world. It also propels the transformation and upgrading of local foreign trade development.

Starting in 2018, the annual fair attracted more than 100 guests from 19 countries and regions along the Belt and Road, including Russia, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Myanmar and Nepal. Many citizens and tourists also go to enjoy the exotic customs and buy high-quality import goods.
