An international trade meeting will be held at the China Dearshiqiao International Home Textiles Market in Haimen, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Nov 8.

More than 100 textile buyers from dozens of countries and regions will take part in the meeting to discuss cooperation with local companies.

The Haimen textile market is the largest in the world, generating more than 100 billion yuan ($14.29) in transactions in 2017.

In recent years, the market has been promoting reform and opening-up, enhancing its international clout.

Its products are sold in 350 cities across China and exported to more than 130 countries and regions.

The market plans to begin holding regular international trade meetings in a bid to attract more overseas merchants to Haimen and strengthen ties with countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
