Nantong OLED Intelligent Technology Co Ltd, which is located in the Gangzha Economic Development Zone, Jiangsu province, has seen remarkable progress in economic growth and innovative development since it was set up in the zone in 2019.

The turnover of the company in 2020 and 2021 was over 20 million yuan ($284,220) and over 30 million yuan respectively. The turnover for this year is expected to exceed 50 million yuan.

"The medium and large polarizing filter edge grind machine is our main product. It was independently researched and developed by the company. Due to its high precision and productivity, it is more attractive to clients than imported machines," said Du Tao, general manager of the company. 

The polarizer is a key material in the display panel for televisions, phones, computers, and other electronic products. 

OLED was the first company in China to develop medium and large polarizing filter edge grind machines that can produce polarizers. Before that, Japanese companies had a monopoly over this technology.

In November, the supersized polarizing filter edge grind machine developed by OLED won first prize in the 2022 Jiangsu Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest.
