Chongchuan district, the main urban area of Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province, held an investment environment promotions conference on June 28 in Suzhou city – also in Jiangsu – attracting the participation of more than 100 enterprises.

Hu Yongjun, Party secretary of Chongchuan, told the event the district was a place full of opportunity that had a bright future. In 2021, it attracted 32 major projects worth about 44 billion yuan ($6.57 billion) and the actual utilization of foreign capital reached $296 million.

Chongchuan has the most newly added high-tech enterprises in the city every year, Hu added. Six strategic emerging industries, such as new materials and the internet of vehicles, are on rise in the district, he said.

As a bridgehead to Nantong's integration with southern Jiangsu and connections with Shanghai, Chongchuan had a developed transport network, increasingly efficient functional facilities and numerous strategic opportunities.

It's been observed that Chongchuan has always given top priority to optimizing its business environment, as well as work to create efficient government services and has moved expeditiously to solve the difficulties of resident enterprises. As a result, its three provincial development parks are said to be in a position to provide guarantees for the settlement of high-quality projects.

Miao Han, deputy director of the district's informatization bureau, said that pro-business Nantong and promising Chongchuan are the best choice for enterprises to take the innovation development road.
