The Gangzha Economic Development Zone, or GZEDZ, in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has brought tangible benefits to corporations in the zone by offering them practical support and efficient services.

The zone's main focus in June was serving "a hundred enterprises with strong competitiveness" and "a hundred enterprises with great growth potential".

To this end, the local economic development bureau worked with related departments to establish 23 small teams. They conducted on-site visits to enterprises above a designated size and learned about their current circumstances and difficulties.

They distributed policy brochures and lectures were organized to help enterprises take full advantage of favorable policies.

Another team made up of 10 members was also set up to help companies handle formalities concerning business registration, project approval, project application, talent services, and more. Queries about policies are answered the same day, while project applicants are guided through the entire process and materials can be previewed within a single workday.

The Enterprise Development Service Center of GZEDZ is considering introducing social resources to build a bank-enterprise platform and other platforms to connect jobseekers with employers and buyers with suppliers, according to a person in charge.
