The country's largest R&D and manufacturing plant for air suspension blowers is reportedly well under construction in the Nantong Gangzha Economic Development Zone or GZEDZ, located in East China's Jiangsu province, aiming for completion in 2022.

The center being developed by Jiangsu TurboMAX Turbine Machinery Equipment will cost $20 million and cover 1.4 hectares, with an annual production capacity of 3,000 air suspension centrifugal blower units whose technical level will equal the most advanced in the world.

The company is taking full advantage of its parent company, TOP BLOWER, a world-leading South Korean manufacturer and supplier of air suspension blowers with 15 years of history. The project's leader Jia Yufei, who has strong expertise in the field gained from experience in South Korea, will also help ensure the success of the venture.

Jia, a native of Rugao, a county-level city administered by Nantong city, went to South Korea for further study as an exchange student in 2008. In the country that commands a dominant position in the sector, Jia obtained a doctorate and participated in R&D and the production of air suspension blowers, which provided the foundation for the establishment of new companies in Changzhou and Nantong in 2016 and 2017.

Both companies focus on the R&D, production and sales of sixth-generation air suspension blowers and all the core components they are using are completely Chinese-made. TurboMAX also teamed up with the Shanghai Tongji & Nanhui Hi-Tech Research Institute for the joint development of a new compressor product line and hydrogen fuel motors, with an ambitious plan for the global market.

Jia recently publicly thanked Nantong for its supportive policies and spoke highly of its favorable business environment, infrastructure advantages and positive corporate culture.
