Nantong firm subsidizes workers to stay for Spring Festival

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, CIMC Safeway Technologies Co Ltd – located in Nantong Gangzha Economic Development Zone in Nantong city, East China's Jiangsu province – recently announced a series of subsidies for its migrant workers who choose to stay put during the upcoming Spring Festival.
The company, formerly known as Nantong CIMC TANK Equipment, is one of the key enterprises in the energy, chemicals and food equipment sector of the CIMC Group. It has more than 2,000 employees, with annual sales of nearly 4 billion yuan ($618 million).
The incentives include a special allowance, overtime pay and subsidies for employees who work during the holiday, as well as holidays arranged for another time in the year.
All non-local employees who stay in Nantong during the Spring Festival holiday will receive an allowance; frontline workers can get 1,000 yuan each while workers in other posts will be given 500 yuan each.
A daily allowance of 300 yuan and 200 yuan will be respectively provided to frontline workers and other personnel working from Feb 7 to 18. The full-attendance bonus in February will be doubled.
All non-local employees who don't return home and those who work or go on-duty during the holiday can have the same amount of time off later this year. Non-local employees who return to their hometowns can receive transportation subsidies according to the company's standard system.
Takeaway services will be provided, for the convenience to employees and their families during the holiday. They can enjoy a free Spring Festival eve dinner, while on the first three days of the holiday the canteen will be open to employees at no charge.
