GZEDZ to promote waterborne transportation

The China Waterborne Transport Research Institute visited Nantong Yatai Engineering Co Ltd in East China's Nantong Gangzha Economic Development Zone (GZEDZ) from Aug 3 to 4 and signed a cooperation agreement with the company.

The two parties will take advantage of their respective resources to enhance the building and evaluation of electric boats at industrial demonstration bases, improve marine power receiving systems and chemical volatile gas treatment equipment for energy conservation and high efficiency terminals, and promote mature technology.

The cooperation between the two parties will further connect enterprises in the same industrial chain and enhance technological research and development (R&D), according to the agreement.

In addition, relevant manufacturing and integrative systems firms may set up operations in the Yangtze River Protection Nantong Technology Industrial Park in Chongchuan district, promoting large-scale development and commercialization.

The R&D and promotion of the marine power receiving system and chemical volatile gas treatment equipment will reduce costs and increase the supply of high-tech and energy-efficient products.
