Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has been advancing the construction of city parks and public facilities in recent years.
The district is currently home to more than 110 parks, which have a combined green area of 100 square kilometers in the 234-square-kilometer urban area.
This year, Chongchuan plans to implement six landscape projects along the Tonglv Canal.

According to local authorities, the canal banks will be adorned with more than 1,000 magnolia trees. Additional features such as riverside footpaths, recreational basketball courts, maker lawns, and fluorescent trails will be added.
In addition, the district has focused on the construction of sporting facilities in parks with support from the city's sports department.
