CCEDZ holds healthcare conference
Authorities of the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province held a healthcare conference on Feb 10.
The conference was aimed at establishing a platform through which professional talent and industry-leading enterprises can strengthen exchanges with one another. This will in turn aid the high-quality development of the zone's healthcare industry, according to authorities.
Yan Jingxiang, Party secretary of CCEDZ, said at the conference that the zone has in recent years been making efforts to create a better business environment for healthcare enterprises by establishing cooperative ties with universities like Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Xu Pengfu, deputy director of the CCEDZ's administrative committee, outlined the zone's geographical location, pillar industries, carriers and favorable policies at the conference.
Five road show projects related to life science instruments, needle-free injection device and liver cancer early screening kits were also displayed at the conference.
The zone is currently home to more than 100 medical enterprises, including industry-leading ones such as China Resources Pharmaceutical Group Limited, China National Pharmaceutical Group Co Ltd (Sinopharm) and JoinTown Pharmaceutical Group Co Ltd.
