Chongchuan holds nighttime job fair

Authorities of the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province held a nighttime job fair on Aug 5 as part of efforts to promote the resumption of work and production in the zone.
The job fair is also part of the 2022 Nantong Beer Carnival.
A new graduate surnamed Cao said that the nighttime job fair provides a relaxed environment where she can enjoy snacks while finding a job.
The HR manager from Nantong Wanda Energy & Power Technology Co Ltd, said the nighttime job fair offers a new way to recruit personnel, and they have reached initial agreements with more than 20 job seekers at the fair.
More than 20 major enterprises based in the zone participated in the job fair. These enterprises, which are related to fields including automotive electronic, catering service, biomedicine and mechanics, provide more than 800 job vacancies such as electronic engineer, sales manager and financial management positions.
Authorities also offered guidance to job hunters at the job fair by explaining policies related to subsidies and low-interest loans.
In addition, authorities held livestreaming activities to advance exchanges between job seekers and employers.
Authorities have been trying to integrate job fairs with nighttime markets so as to increase employment, attract talent and further bolster the city's nighttime economy.
The job fair received more than 3,000 job seekers, 236 of whom have signed initial agreements with enterprises. Over 1,200 policy booklets were distributed to participants, official statistics show.
