Authorities of the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province issued guidelines to promote the integrated circuit industry in the zone during a conference held on July 27.
According to the guidelines, the government of Chongchuan will strengthen coordination among government departments to provide better services for enterprises and entrepreneurs.
The zone will channel its resources toward building an integrated circuit industrial park, which will aim to establish new benchmarks in the integrated circuit sector.
Authorities will also implement a series of measures to better understand market needs and trends, create new cooperation modes, and optimize resources allocation to promote the development of the integrated circuit industry,
Hu Yongjun, the secretary of the zone, said that the integrated circuit sector, which is one of the six strategic emerging industries in the zone, will play a significant role in transforming and upgrading the zone's industries.
Home to a large number of major integrated circuit companies, the zone already has a complete industrial chain that covers semi-conductor materials, IC design, package test and equipment.
