Chongchuan district acts to help enterprises
The Chongchuan district of Nantong city, in East China's Jiangsu province, is continuing to optimize its business environment – after having achieved significant progress in its economic development – in an upgrading process begun several years ago.
Based on 66 measures released by the Nantong municipal government to bolster its commercial environment, the district has moved to adapt them to its own particular needs.
A meeting on improvements to the investment ecosystem was held in early February. It was proposed that Chongchuan shall upgrade its chief service officer or CSO system. Also tabled, was a suggestion that the Chongchuan Xing Qi Tong – a platform providing attractive services for enterprises – be upgraded.
In 2021, over 110 million yuan ($17.4 million) in support funds went through the Chongchuan Xing Qi Tong. This year, plans are for the platform to roll out 73 services that enterprises can directly access without an application – as well as 53 items that firms can access quickly with a simple application – to simplify the review and funds disbursement processes.
Furthermore, to better serve resident enterprises, Chongchuan will further optimize and upgrade its CSO system. Over 430 chief service officers will be matched with the more than 500 companies in the district. Each CSO will help his partner firm solve problems with its labor force, or with financing, administrative approvals and other areas.
