Notice from Nantong Center for Disease Control and Prevention

The Nantong Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province published notice on Dec 27 about COVID-19 prevention and control.

People who arrive in Nantong from Xi'an, Shaanxi province from Dec 8 are required to report to his or her residential communities and companies as well as undergo nucleic acid tests and medical observation.

Nantong residents are advised not to visit medium- and high-risk areas in China as well as go abroad if not necessary. Stations, airports, ports and all other public places in the city are required to strengthen their checks on health QR codes and travel codes.

Nantong residents are required to wear face masks, wash their hands frequently, ventilate their rooms regularly, and maintain social distancing.

They are also advised to monitor their own health. Should symptoms such as fever, dry cough, fatigue, sore throat, hyposmia, hypogeusia, and diarrhea occur, people should visit the nearest fever clinic as soon as possible and declare their travel history to the doctor.

The Chinese mainland on Dec 26 reported 162 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, among which 152 were reported in Shaanxi, seven in Guangxi, and one each in Zhejiang, Guangdong and Sichuan, according to the National Health Commission.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the mainland had reached 101,277 as of Dec 26. There are 2,158 patients still receiving treatment, of whom 13 are in severe condition.
