The project is operated by Coretec Materials (Jiangsu) Technology, a company with investment from Tongfu Microelectronics. It will produce bismaleimide triazine (BT) base materials for semiconductor packaging substrates used in high-end AI chips, high-speed storage and high-frequency communications.
The project is being built in three phases. The first phase has a total investment of 220 million yuan ($32.94 million), including 160 million yuan for equipment. It will cover 13,000 square meters of standardized factory space and house automated coating and lamination lines.
The project is expected to generate an annual output value of about 1 billion yuan once fully operational, and the company aims to secure about 20 percent of the global market for BT base materials.
