The Bosheng intelligent terminal display module manufacturing project in Rudong Economic Development Zone, Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province, has topped out. This project is expected to start production next May, strengthening the county's semiconductor chain and upgrading Rudong-made end products.

It is an expansion project operated by Jiangsu Guangyu Technology, which settled in the zone's Phase I Semiconductor Industrial Park two years ago. It designs, produces and sells LCD screens and display modules.

Stable partnerships with Chinese carmaker BYD and global air-conditioning manufacturer Daikin have driven strong growth. The company's sales reached about 180 million yuan ($26.6 million) last year and its orders are now booked through October.

Guangyu is investing $72 million in the new project. Once operational, it will mainly make 0.96- to 10.1-inch AI-compatible display modules, with an annual output of 30 million modules, 2 million smartphones and 3 million watches.

The zone's industrial ecosystem and business environment have supported the company. It helps Guangyu achieve next-door supply with local firms, cutting costs. Dedicated staff provide agency services and solve problems to speed construction, said Long Jian, the project manager.
