From its origins as the departure point for residents of Haimen district in Nantong heading to Shanghai, to its status as a bustling riverside leisure spot, Qinglong Port in Haimen district has undergone a magnificent transformation over the years.

In 1999, Qinglong Port ended its passenger transport operations and temporarily transitioned into a chemical industrial zone. However, in 2021, the local government initiated a renovation project to transform the area into a green park. After years of development, Qinglong Port was designated as a national 3A-level tourist attraction in 2025.

The park features 13 historical buildings that retain their original industrial charm. The riverside boardwalk connects scenic spots along the riverbank, and trendy new businesses, such as coffee shops and camping sites, have been established.

Tourists could climb the Wangjiang Tower for a panoramic view of the majestic Yangtze River, gazing across at Chongming Island in Shanghai. The tower offers a perfect vantage point for watching the sunset, where the river and sky merge into one.

The riverside boardwalk winds along the Yangtze River, linking various scenic spots. Walking along it, you can hear the gentle sound of waves. At dusk, the sunset casts a warm glow over the river, creating a captivating atmosphere.

The riverside greenway stretches out, lush with greenery. Cycling along the river is both pleasant and rejuvenating.

The coffee and flower shops, built by the water, are perfect places to relax. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, and stroll among the flowers, adding a touch of elegance and novelty to the riverside scenery.
