The Tongzhou Bay lighthouse is located at the end of Binhai Road in the Tongzhou Bay Demonstration Zone, Nantong, Jiangsu province. Standing 15 meters tall, it was once an important navigational marker along the Yellow Sea coast.

With its distinct red and white stripes, the lighthouse is simple yet striking when viewed against a backdrop of blue skies and clear seas. Here, there are no bustling crowds, only the soft ocean breeze, the soothing sound of waves crashing against the shore, and the lighthouse standing tall and proud.

The golden sandy beach next to the lighthouse is warm and comfortable to walk on barefoot. At low tide, the tidal flats are exposed, making it an ideal place to search for small crabs, shells, and snails.

The beach area is also suitable for camping. Pitch a tent, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy some quality time with your loved ones away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The flat coastline is perfect for playing football or frisbee with friends and family.

Sunset is the most beautiful time of day. At around 5 pm, the sun slowly descends, painting the sky and sea in gentle shades of orange and pink. The afterglow spills over the red-and-white lighthouse, causing it to glow with warmth, while the sea sparkles like a dream behind it.

Travel reminders: Check the tides in advance, stay away from the stone dike during high tide; avoid staying after dark to ensure safety.
