Nantong Xingdong International Airport launched a special service for unaccompanied children on June 1, ensuring comprehensive safety and peace of mind for children traveling alone.

A standout feature of this service is the "Travel Snapshot" function. Once parents complete the necessary procedures for their unaccompanied child, they can scan a unique QR code to view photos taken by staff members at key moments, such as during waiting and boarding. This feature also allows parents to track real-time flight status updates, keeping them informed about their child's travel progress.

The service is available for children aged 5 to 12. Parents must reserve the service with the airline at least 48 hours in advance and bring the child's valid identification to the airport service desk on the day of travel.

Airport staff members will accompany the child through security checks, waiting areas, and boarding. Once on board, the child will be entrusted to the flight crew. Upon arrival, staff members at the destination airport will meet and escort the child, verify information, and hand them over to the designated pickup person, ensuring seamless coordination throughout the journey.

As summer is a peak travel period, families interested in this service are encouraged to book early to avoid any disruptions to their travel plans.
