"From the lab to the production line, Haimen has provided us with ample support," said Jiang Xiaoheng, general manager of Baisi Vision Optoelectronics Technology (Nantong), at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Haimen Dongzhou Talent Entrepreneurship Week on May 24.

The Dongzhou Talent Entrepreneurship Week, an annual event held for nine consecutive years, has become an important platform for Haimen to attract and gather talents. 

At the opening ceremony, Haimen introduced 21 key initiatives to support young talent. These initiatives create a comprehensive support system that covers project funding, entrepreneurial spaces, loan interest subsidies, job allowances, and housing security, which includes project grants of up to 13 million yuan ($1.91 million) and housing subsidies of up to 3 million yuan. 

On the opening day, agreements were signed for 20 high-level talent entrepreneurship projects. Currently, the total number of talents in Haimen has reached 250,000. 

The entrepreneurship week also featured seven specialized events, including a high-level talent meeting and several roadshows. These events are designed to connect talent, technology, projects, capital, and platforms, thereby promoting deeper integration within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
