Chongchuan sees 966,600 tourist visits during holiday surge
During the spring break and Qingming Festival holiday (April 1–6), Chongchuan district in Nantong launched a series of cultural and tourism activities and consumer-friendly initiatives, resulting in sustained growth in the district's cultural and tourism consumption market.
Key monitored commercial enterprises in the district achieved sales of 226 million yuan ($33.07 million), up 4.3 percent from last year. The district also recorded a total of 966,600 tourist visits, generating tourism revenue of 663 million yuan, representing growth of 24.17 percent and 18.7 percent, respectively.
Visits to scenic areas, shopping in commercial districts and study tours became the three main holiday activities.
Core attractions such as Langshan Mountain, Haohe River and Nantong Forest Safari Park saw great popularity, with visitors flocking to enjoy spring outings and leisure activities.

Major commercial districts hosted diverse events, including traditional Chinese-themed garden tours and trendy shopping markets, while offering consumer subsidies for automobiles and home appliances.
Cultural and museum venues like the Nantong Museum and Nantong Sci-Tech Museum organized unique study tour activities, such as farming-themed handicrafts and intangible cultural heritage dyeing experiences, making them the top choice for family outings.
