The seventh Junshan Mountain Tea Culture event and the Junshan Mountain Tea Harvest Ceremony began at the Junshan Mountain Scenic Area in Nantong, Jiangsu province, on March 28.
Under the guidance of tea farmers, the participants picked new tea buds, experiencing firsthand the techniques and joys of traditional tea picking.
The Langshan Chunxiao grown on Junshan Mountain is a type of green tea, the only locally produced tea in Nantong, and shares its lineage with one of China's top 10 famous teas, Biluochun. It is distinguished by its refreshing, mellow taste, elegant, lingering aroma and clear, bright liquor.

In the Shuiyunwo Tea Space, tea art specialists demonstrated traditional tea art, fully showcasing the subtle charm and poetic beauty of Chinese tea culture. In the tea-frying observation area, tea makers hand-fried freshly picked leaves, filling the air with a rich tea fragrance, allowing visitors to witness the transformation of the leaves up close and experience the unique allure of traditional tea-making techniques.
The event will continue until the end of May. During the event, the scenic area will also offer a series of special activities, including tea art appreciation salons, tea-picking dances and a study camp.
