The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has released the latest list of national-level green factories, with three companies from Chongchuan district making the cut, marking another breakthrough in the local green manufacturing development. 

The three companies are: Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering, Nantong COSCO Shipping Shipyard, and Nantong CIMC Energy Equipment. 

Each recognized company has its own unique strengths. COSCO KHI Ship Engineering has implemented green management across the entire production process, promoted the use of water-based coatings, and achieved purification efficiency exceeding 98 percent. 

COSCO Shipping Shipyard has established a pioneering energy-efficient compressed air station within the shipbuilding sector. This advancement has resulted in a steel utilization rate exceeding 95 percent, alongside exemplary recycling rates of 100 percent for solid waste and 95 percent for wastewater. 

CIMC Energy Equipment has invested in photovoltaic power stations and waste gas treatment facilities, launched an energy management system, and achieved both energy savings and efficiency improvements. 

National-level green factories are the core units of the national green manufacturing system, representing companies that have reached advanced industry standards in areas such as low-carbon energy use, resource efficiency, and clean production. 

To date, the district has boasted seven national-level green factories, 11 provincial-level green factories, and one provincial-level green industrial park.
